The Valhalla Prophecy starts off with Nina and Eddie leading a blissful normal life. The IHA has been considerate enough to let them be and Nina is presented with a golden opportunity to write her own book. All seems perfect and Nina and Eddie begin talks about starting a family but trouble comes knocking on their door soon enough with the promise of yet another thrilling and dangerous adventure. The UN liaison calls an emergency meeting regarding a historic Viking runestone being stolen from a museum in Sweden. This gets Nina and Eddie hot on the trail of a mole in the IHA itself. When visiting the crime scene, Nina and Eddie learn of the dangerous secrets the runestone can be used to unlock. They learn of Valhalla, a great hall which houses an extremely dangerous poison called 'eitr', said to be capable of killing the Gods themselves. With the help of the top resources from the IHA and Tova's immense knowledge, Nina tries her best to deduce the location of the runestone.
